The Experiment

Ever since Rohan returned from the day’s play, his father, Sanjeev, was tensed. The circular scar on the 7 year old Rohan’s ankle was unique. His behaviour too had drastically changed within an hour. He wasn’t able to understand the lapse of time. He kept on mumbling, “But I just now went out to play...”

“It’s three hours already, Rohan.” His grandfather condemned.

“That’s fine. Pa. You go for your routine walk.” Sanjeev told his father and took his son aside.

“Rohan, did you see anything?”

Scared, he nodded, but looking at his strict grandparents nearby, he blabbered, “Saw too much of light filled cubicle where many grey coloured hairless humanoids played doctor-doctor.”

It was it! Sanjeev understood that his son got touched by a “Special Entity”.

“...and left a mark on the experiment.” Sanjeev completed Rohan’s incomplete words as he showed his heel that too had a dark patch.
